About The Artist  

Racquel McFarlane - Visionary Artist and Spiritual Seeker 

With my art, I aim to uplift and inspire, awaken and encourage, and provide a visual representation of Love consciousness in form. I discovered an enjoyment for art at a young age and began drawing and sketching from 4 and 5 years old. My favorite thing to draw has always been people and my preferred medium was pencil and paper! Although my techniques have broadened over the years, I still enjoy drawing and painting the human face above all other subjects. This may have been the start of my journey into Soul Portraits later on down the road. 

I was formally trained in art in Middle and High School in art classes at my school, Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School. After graduating in 2000, I went on to study graphic design and Fine Art At SUNY Purchase College in Purchase, New York. I enjoyed graphic design and did a short run as a graphic designer with my own private clients. However, in the end, I found that it lacked the connectedness and heart-centeredness of putting paint on the paintbrush. 

Soul Portrait Readings

After receiving a channeled reading in 2011, I learned that I could paint Soul Portraits, which are visual representations of the Soul. These portraits are a journey and a process that allow the individual’s inner light and Soul gifts to shine through. I love making these magical portraits and the readings that come along with them. The intuitive process involves going within to receive inner and higher guidance and a request is made to Spirit to bring forth the painting that is for the recipient’s highest and best good. I feel that Soul Portraits are a wonderful gift for me as the process is very fulfilling as well as for the person receiving it. 

Energy Healing Art

Chakra Energy Paintings

Through my energy art practice, I paint the Chakra energy centers to bring balance and healing to the Chakras. These energy centers affect every aspect of our being and when one is out of balance, it can negatively impact us on a deep and all-encompassing level. Bringing healing to these centers using energy art is a wonderful way to find balance. I begin by setting my intention to create a painting that embodies the energy of the particular Chakra center that I am painting. After setting a clear intention, I then begin the painting process which is typically through fluid art, acrylic poured paintings using the colors that pertain to that Chakra energy center. Once the painting is complete, it holds the frequency of that Chakra in a fully balanced state. Simply looking at the painting and affirming that ‘I am balanced in my root Chakra’ etc. is enough to get the benefits from this amazing process. 

Divine Ray Paintings

On my exploratory art journey, I discovered the Divine Rays. I paint the Divine Rays which offer a connection to the Divine through color. The Divine Rays are spiritual color rays that we can use on our life’s path to grow in consciousness. Each ray is a ray of color light holding a specific frequency and energetic significance. The Divine Rays help us to anchor a certain spiritual energy frequency that we can use to proceed on our life’s path. 

Sharing The Artistic Journey

Journeying through levels of consciousness through the living of life has helped me to become more aware. I seek to find more spiritual truths to help me become a better artist and a better person. Through my art process and the sharing of that process, I hope to open this transformative journey to others and bring healing, love, and light to people through my artwork.
